Military diet – lose 5kg in 3 days

So let’s talk a little bit about this magical military diet where you can lose up to 5 kilos in only three days. It sounds really unreal, but it works.

It works if you want to gain 7 kilos back and binge eat after those three days because you are starving and your body is craving for any food it can get, especially junk food.

I can see why so many people get tempted with “easy” fixes like that, why work hard in the gym and eat healthily when you can restrict yourself for few days and be fabulous for the rest of your   life..well if only..

So what is this Military diet

The name military comes from strict schedule what and when to eat. It is basically planed menu for three days with very specific foods you can eat. The main thing is to restrict your calories and eat very little in order to lose weight. Let’s look at the menu

So it is basically very small portions of food though out the day. You also have to drink coffee (with caffeine) because coffee suppresses appetite and tricks our body into thinking we are not that hungry. And then for dessert you get ice cream full of refined sugars instead of eating whole banana 😀

And yes, you will lose weight, but you will lose water weight, don’t expect your fat will magically melt in three days.

What I am trying to say is that these quick fixes do not work. Fit teas, military diets, juice cleanses, restricting calories simply DO NOT WORK in a long run.

Don’t be afraid to eat in abundance as many veggies and fruits as you want. So many people don’t eat fruits because they think that sugar in fruits makes them fat. It does not, there is no refined sugar in fruits. Remember sugar does not make you fat, FAT makes you FAT.  Eat consciously, when you really feel hungry, eat foods that are friendly for your tummy and you won’t need any silly “magical” fixes.
